BULLFINCH, COMMON TERN & KINGFISHER at Piccotts End Pools this Morning

Male LINNET at Piccotts End Pools.
Male LINNET's beautiful rosey breeding plumage.

During a fairly quick visit to Piccotts End Pools before work this morning I saw the following birds of note...

C.3 GREY HERONS
3 CORMORANTS
2 (Pair) KESTRELS
Plenty of Juvenile MOORHENS
Juvenile COOT- good to see they have definitely bred here this year
C.3 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS passing
COMMON TERN
2+ (Pair) STOCK DOVES
C.3 SWIFTS still about
1+ KINGFISHER
GREAT SPOTTED WOODPECKER
JAY
GOLDCREST
Quite a few SWALLOWS passing through
A few HOUSE MARTINS passing over
CHIFFCHAFF
BLACKCAP
SONG THRUSH
At least 5 LINNETS - probably more
Male BULLFINCH
Male YELLOWHAMMER

Male BULLFINCH at Piccotts End Pools - they are notoriously difficult to even get a binocular view of at this location, always calling from deep cover, managing to evade my camera every time I do see them, so I'm happy even just to get this snapshot of a Male out in the open for once.
